One day they will find my cottage empty:
Fire burning, clock still ticking,
bags unpacked upstairs, clothes neatly folded.
Phone abandoned on its charger.
I will go missing, barefoot and damp haired,
to join the frog chorus, to
dance beneath the cedars. They will call me
the Sweetheart of the Darkling Pond.
