Havok – May 20, 2020

Secret Agent Lampshade” by Cassandra Hamm (994 words)

“It’s the only useful thing about being able to shapeshift into a lamp—you can hear people’s secrets.” A fun take on shapeshifting that ends up being surprisingly poignant, with strong worldbuilding and a lived-in feel despite the tiny space. The character voice is great in particular. Happy to find Havok and more humorous speculative fiction!
